Run Joe Run

A fallen Hornet's nest is good reason to run, or bike, as fast as you can. We should always run from danger unless we are well prepared for for the danger before us. The two minute cartoon below has Pooh and Piglet running TO danger. It should bring a smile to your face.

There are plenty of dangerous things to run from with-in a home as well, including certain insect invasions. Here is a short list:

Fire.

The smell of natural gas.

A sounding carbon monoxide alarm.

An alarm warning of an intruder.

We should all know the safest route out of our homes in case of any type of danger in our home. Each room may be different from any other so to be best prepared it is good to plan ahead.

I have only three possible exits from my house, Bob, and they are all close to each other.

Nina Hollander, Broker Mine is similar . We have a front and a back separated by the living room. In the basement I do have two egress windows. If there were to be a kitchen fire and we were in our bedrooms the only way out would be through a non-egress window.

Bob "RealMan" Timm hi Bob... we have a totally open floor plan... so all three exits are essentially visible to each other. Plus, no basement.

I work out back a lot.  A few times I reached into a bush and got stung by a hornet. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your week!

Bill Salvatore - East Valley I don't have any bushes BUT we have a grape vine covered fence and I wouldn't dare put my hand in there during the summer... anything could be there... even a family of homeless.

That's true Roy Kelley . During the time of an emergency is NOT the time to teach about what to do during an emergency.

Hello Bob and lots of reasons to run to protect us.  I remember seeing a fire and I ran toward it and took off my jacket to try to get it out till others got there.

Good Morning Bob "RealMan" Timm

Best line in the short " Pooh: "I don't remember thinking that through." 😂 How many times have we found ourselves in situations where we didn't completely think it through?

That is a great line Doug Dawes and we should all think of that before rushing into action.

Hi Bob,
I don't have a door at the back of my house, but I could escape through a choice of windows in an emergency.

Your post reminded me of the time when we were (stupid) kids and started shooting our BB guns at a hornets nest. I found out I could run much faster than my brother!  🤣

LOL, great story Carol Williams . I could imagine my brother and I doing the same. I'm not sure which one of us would be the faster. 😄
