Friday Fun…Have You Tried One??

Hello Kathy - when it comes to attempting anything in the kitchen, my skills do not go far beyond opening the refrigerator/freezer doors or miscalculating the microwave.  I have dunked a few dishes as well as pots/pans into the sink, rinsed/repeated the car wash-like interpretation of cleaning as well as placed said objects back into their home.  My klutziness in the culinary world is definitely not kool.  

But as for taste-testing recipes, I'm "game".  Put me in, coach.  🙃

Oh that sounds like fun! I have saved several recipes but haven't tried them yet.

I've saved recipes, Kathy, and many of them are similar to ones I use... so I just refer to them for ideas for my own. I can't say I ever fully replicated a recipe from someone else.

Wow, that looks like it turned out really good!  I am sure that Will Hamm is very proud of you!

A while back I did try one of Will's recipes as a side dish for one of our dinner parties, but don't remember which one it was, only that it was a hit!

While I am a cook myself (maybe I should post some of my recipes), I will admit that I have not tried anybody else's recipes, though it sounds like I should.

Back (long ago) when I ate meat, my favorite way to eat it was Cuban recipes that included black beans and rice. That looks awesome.

That grilled Mojo chicken looks delicious and the recipe looks so easy! I would have put the rice and black beans with it too! I am going to get around to fixing it! I have saved some and know I have tried some of Will Hamm's recipes in the past.

It is always good to see the recipes posted. Chef Dolores has used a number of them.

Kathy Streib Thanks for the heads up! Will have to watch for some of the blogs and maybe share a recipe or two.  Interesting fact for Michael Jacobs ... "Kool" -Aid was invented about 40 miles or so from where I am sitting back in 1927 in Hastings NE.  And yes that is Kool!

Why am I feeling so hungry after reading your post Kathy!  I'm sure I have tried some recipes over the years and probably have them in a cookbook to this day.  Time for lunch!!

I haven't really tried any new recipes lately. I've gotten in a routine of simple old favorites.
