This is my entry into the September 2024 challenge presented by Nick Vandekar, 610-203-4543 and Patricia Feager, ABR,CRS,GRI,MRP . The 53 word Challenge.
In 1973 cars were less complicated, as was my 1970 Fiat 500.
It did not have cruse control but it had a hand throttle. Once I stuck my Fiat in the snow. I put it in gear and pulled the throttle just a little past idle and pushed myself out of the drift. (That's 53 words)
I had had a few to many drinks and headed home. A blizzard had developed while I was drinking at the bar. I stood outside my running (but stuck) car with the drivers side door open so I could push on the door frame. Having pulled the hand throttle just past idle I figured if the car would take off I could jump back in and drive the final block of my trip home. Everything was going as planned until a well meaning Police Officer stopped and asked if I needed help. Yikes! If I said yes he may smell my breath and if I said no he is sure to say "this idiot must be drunk". I said "no I've got it. I just live right there" and to my amazement he drove off. I didn't pay attention as to how far he drove off but by now I was full of adrenalin and had no problem pushing myself out of the snow, jumping into the car and driving the final block to my home.
The lesson learned was/is sometimes your just damn lucky!
My days of driving and drinking have past by about five decades ago.
In at least 300 words, tell us how you did it, tequila, and whether you found it easy or hard. In my 20's I found driving and drinking easy. Share your tips and advice. My tip and advice is don't drink and drive. Keep it engaging, informative and authentic. I hope you found this informative and engaging 😃. Share what you really want to tell us. What I want you to know can be found in 1 Timmothy 4:12 King James Version. "Let no man despise thy youth". We all do stupid things in our youth. Forget about it! Let it go and thank God we didn't die doing stupid things in our youth.
