Maryland Offshore Wind Project Approval

The Department of the Interior has approved the Maryland Offshore Wind project. This project has an estimated capacity of over 2 GW, which could power 718,000 homes. This is a significant milestone in America’s clean energy future.

This is a Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection announcement.

 

The Department of the Interior has approved the Maryland Offshore Wind project, located offshore Maryland and Delaware. The approved project has an estimated capacity of 2 GW of renewable energy, to power over 718,000 homes. This is the 10th major offshore wind project approved by the Department.
