When Do You Give Up?

No one likes to give up,  but sometimes the weight of the mission is considerably more profound than the fruit of the goal.   Often, other people can be too stubborn to pull off a project or goal.  Or maybe their goals do not align with yours.  When we exhaust all options, we move on.  

Thank you, Michael, for sharing your thoughts on the challenges of perseverance and knowing when to let go. Your insights serve as a powerful reminder that sometimes stepping back can help us move forward with renewed clarity and purpose.

Sometimes we find ourselves in over our heads but often if you put it down, take a break and come back and look at it from a different angle the way to get it down is revealed!

Good morning Michael. Between stimulus and response man has the power to choose. Sometimes it pays to count to 10 before responding to a stimulus. As long as you control the situation the choice is yours. Choose wisely. Enjoy your day.

I feel like I have to give up when things are out of my control, but when I am in control, I don't ever give up, haha.

Good morning, Michael... I like to think I never give up if it's something I really want. That being said, I can tell you I have, over the years, given up on some buyers and sellers... whose motivation (or lack thereof) made me realize I was wasting my time.

You're right. Sometimes, we need to take a break to adjust our perspective and find a new approach. That works on a personal and business level.

I'm a pretty hard headed guy but after hitting my head against the wall enough times over my life I am content with giving up once in a while Michael Elliott .

I kind of thought about retirement when I read this post. When do I say enough. It is coming up, but I still don't know. A few years maybe?

When push comes to shove, I dont' dawdle, whine, or make a big stink. I have no problem moving on!!! Life is too short! 

Michael Elliott one of my big problems is that sometimes I am to dumb to give up, when the wise thing to do is turn the page and move on.

Hi Michael- my saying has always been..where's there's a will, there's a way. Of course, the "will" may wane if you realize the goal is no longer what you want or need or worthy of your time. 

Aint no mountain high enough, thrown in with a little no guts no glory and a rousing round of Tom Petty standing your ground! Works for me!  

Michael, persistence is key when you truly want something. However, knowing when to walk away when your time and energy are better spent elsewhere is good decision too!
