Friday Fun…You Knocking on Wood?

 

Yes, it IS that day…Friday the 13th. Having been on ActiveRain for umpteen years, I know that most of you hold no superstitions whatsoever! 

Black cats crossing your path or broken mirrors will not stop you from enjoying this day!

Nor will walking under a ladder or opening an umbrella inside a home or building. 

 

Years ago a friend at work was always saying “Bite your tongue” if someone said something bad might happen.  I still find myself saying “Bite your tongue” to someone if they say that something we don’t want to happen might happen. 

So open up, you may not be superstitious but is there anything you do to ward off evil spirits?  Of course, more out of habit because we know you’re NOT superstitious.

Hi Kathy,
I don't have any particular superstitions. I do like finding 4-leaf clovers, though. I think it's more because they are rare, not that I think they'll bring me luck.

Happy Friday, Kathy!

No, I'm not superstitious about today, black cats crossing my path (we used to have one), walking under ladders (as Kat says that's kinda dumb to do), broken mirrors, etc.  Not worried about evil spirits, either!

Oh so it's Friday the 13th.  So far it's been an excellent day and it hasn't nor would it cross my mind to be wary of anything today.  Unless of course one of my good friends bring over her gorgeous black cat.  Just kidding!  He's a cutie!  His name is Kahn!

Wish I had a picture of Kahn.  He's a hoot!  He was a stray cat that found his new Momma has a kitten by walking into my friend's condo patio! 3 years later he's a happy, fiesty little thing!

Kathy I don't have any problems with black cats or walking under ladders.  BUT there is something about the number 13 and multiples of the number 13 like 26, 39,52 ......  that I stay away from.  😆

Good evening Kathy,

I'm not superstitious and didn't see any black cats today. The compressor went out on my refrigerator and since I saw no black cats I'm assuming my refrigerator died of natural causes! LOL!!
