The Sky is Falling!

By
Real Estate Agent with Atlanta Communities 303302

Oh my goodness!

I want to be the first to tell everyone that it seems like the end is near! Don't look now, but new listings are taking more than a few hours to sell. I know, it seems unbelievable! My latest listing has been on the market for a week now and has only had 5 showings, with no offers above the listing price! What has this world come to?

My guess is that many newer agents will be wringing their hands, unaccustomed to having to work a listing to get it sold. Oh, the hardships we face!

Sellers are bewildered by this turn of events. They are starting to panic when, after a day, no offers without contingencies or above listing prices have come in. What, they say, no multiple offers?

Sadly, I have to tell them, I am so sorry. It seems like we are in a normal real estate market.

Hello Peter - many sorts of things can seem to be a scrabble-fest but perspective can come in handy during such times.

Thanks for sharing Peter, seem like things are slowly getting back to normal.

A balanced market is much better for everyone - buyers and sellers. I'm glad to hear your market is there, and liked your humorous take of the issue!

Good morning Peter. We now live in a world where things are expected to come easy without effort and in a very short time. Normal is unacceptable and not understandable. Welcome to the new normal. Enjoy your day.

Things aren't as easy as people would think they are, especially with all of the new rule changes in the market to account for as well, haha.

Loved this, Peter- no, the sky is not falling. It's business as usual...well almost.

2024 has certainly been "interesting'. And I find myself leaning on lessons I learned in the last "Great Recession"
