Candela, a 578-acre master-planned community by Johnson Development Services, offers an exceptional living experience in Richmond, TX. Located just 30 miles southwest of Houston near FM 359 and the Westpark Tollway, Candela provides convenient access to major highways like Hwy 90, Grand Parkway, and Westpark Tollway. Major employers in Houston, Katy and Sugar Land are only a short drive away. Residents can also enjoy nearby stores, restaurants, and shopping centers.
Since its development in 2021, this community has been growing rapidly, offering a range of beautiful homes and amenities. As I was taking photos of Candela for my blog, I thought I might as well do a short video giving you a tour of the beautiful amenities offered here including a model home tour.

What's the Neighborhood Like in Candela?
Candela is designed to accommodate a wide range of budgets and lifestyles, with homes starting in the $300Ks and going up to the $800Ks. Homes range from 1,700 to 3,800 square feet, offering an average of 3 to 5 bedrooms and 2 to 5 full baths, providing options to suit various preferences.
The property tax rate in Candela is 3.03% with an annual HOA fee of $750. The community is located in a Municipal Utility District (MUD 229) that provides water and sewer services to residents.

In Candela, top builders Coventry Homes, Westin Homes, and Perry Homes are at work, offering a variety of floor plans and styles. The new section (Candela South) features six model homes, providing potential buyers with a chance to explore their options.
