You make a great point Michael Jacobs and it seems that fewer and fewer conversations these days remain civil, there is such a divide, haha.

Good morning, Nina Hollander, Broker it seems that when areas are thriving, prices continue to rise.

Brian England it all has to do with lack of inventory in the Charlotte area... demand versus supply.

Good morning Brian. Too soon for the effects of the fed rate cut to sink in. Prices for real estate are still high. If mortgage rates fall are we encouraging people to set themselves up failure by getting them qualified for the largest loan they can get and not having adequate reserve funds? Wages are not on pace with the increase in the cost of goods! And finally, credit card debt will prevent many from qualifying. Be careful what you wish for. Enjoy your day.

Good morning, Wayne Martin I hate that wages have not kept up with inflation, that is the biggest issue.

The price of homes is ridiculous now - I hope that either wages go up or prices stabilize

The current mortgage interest rates are attractive for prospective home buyers.

Brian while lower mortgage interest rates will help a little in making homes a little more affordable it is not enough.  Lower price homes will need to come on the market, and so far I don't see any signs of that in CT.

That is a big problem George Souto I am not seeing lower-priced homes coming onto the market either.

Brian England  Maybe affordability in over 55 communities and  that is questionable; maybe condos - even with  grant money, it is difficult for young people to afford to purchase - it is cheaper to rent and rent is not cheap

The hint of a possible increase in affordability is connected to currently and future declining mortgage rates. BUT...prices are still going up so affordability will continue to be an issue in my market.

I agree with that John Juarez it's got to be more than just interest rates for homes to become more affordable.
