My life in 53 words, EXACTLY 53 words? Say what? Do you really want to read this? Yes, you say. OK, here goes.
 
Born along the Hudson River, barefoot and bald.
Loved baseball, until broke my nose catching a fly ball
Tried motorcycles, almost died
Thanks Jesus
College Arizona (Go Wildcats, BEAR DOWN!)
Worked for Polaroid (picture 60 seconds!)
Raised- 2 Children makes ME happy

Telling your life story in EXACTLY 53 words is challenging, limiting. One cannot write their resume in so few words and there is more to life than just work right? We all have an interesting story to tell. Maybe what the 53 word limit does is spark something for future questions and conversations maybe. Is there a word or more that says, "I have to know more"? After all, more is MISSING than is written down.
 
Well in any case this is my attempt. I encourage my readers to tell their story in 53 words as I have done through a blogging challenge on my host site Active Rain.
 
Hey, back to real estate, which is what I do.

Hi Jeff! What’s not to love about you? In just 53 Words you spoke the truth with truth, humor, and transparency. If I needed Buyer or Seller Representation in your area, I would choose you! Thank you for participating in the 2024 Word Challenge. By the way I also had a broken nose when I was five. The story my older sister told my parents was some man pushed me off the Merry-Go-Round and I fell and broke my nose. At my dad’s funeral (we were adults) my sister confessed to me that she pushed me and there was no man. She said she was afraid to tell my dad and figured it was the right time I knew. Jeff, I thoroughly enjoyed how you composed a wonderful story in only 53 Words! And the backstory is perfect too!!!

Thanks Patricia. Appreciate your nose story. We were at an outside picnic waiting for a movie in the park to start. I was 9 or 10 years old and it was getting to be twilight, but my family and cousins and friends were catching pop ups. Everyone was trying to catch the same ball and a glove was thrust in front of my face and their catch was not caught resulting the ball landing on my nose and broke it. I still marvel and the major leaguers catching those high pops (reall high) today.

I used to love playing baseball with my dad and siblings but every time the ball came at me, I would close my eyes and duck. There's something about a flying object coming right at your face that can be scary! I should have learned to lift up my arms. I'm thinking now that ducking was even more dangerous.

Polaroid was a great company and in every store across America. The anticipation of waiting for that photo to develop right before your eyes. The digital cameras and camera phones ended that era of photos. Jeff
