Stop talkin' out your...!
Growing up in the south, I was heavily influenced by witty adults who had a saying for almost any given situation that came about. If a person knew that someone was talking big, like a slick, snake-oil salesperson, this would be the result. "She talks out both ends and we know which one she uses more often!"
As a teenager, my mother told me once to, "Stop talkin' out your...!"(Use your imagination to fill it in). I was gossiping. She knew it. That was a lesson learned and has remained ingrained in my adult life. It's important to be mindful and choose words carefully to avoid becoming the subject of public scrutiny.
Some people intentionally spew lies, abusing their power of free speech with a sly, chameleon-ish approach. It's an effort to convince an audience that they're telling the truth. If you think it's disrespectful to think about a speaker in those terms, please first, question the motives of the person talking nonsense.
As real estate industry professionals, misleading the consumer is an unacceptable practice that can land a person in front of a panel of peers or worse, result in the loss of a license to practice. Those with ultra-overinflated, ego's are less inclined to listen to sage advice and tend to talk out of both ends anyway.
You bet your as...uh...oh...hmmm. Hee-haw ya'll!
