Book Plumber Appointments in the Morning!

.......and electricians, and locksmiths and HVAC......

I use a plumber called Randy, he's been a plumber for over thirty years, he's a good guy.

It is very difficult for a lot of contractors to predict how long a job will take, from twenty minutes to hours. By the end of the day, even for a concientious contractor will often be hours behind schedule leading to no-shows and reschedules.

The best way for clients to not waste time waiting for contractors that are late is to book first thing in the morning so you are first or second call of the day!

It seems like commons sense but it's very frustrating when you have been waiting for a contractor and they can't make it or are running two hours late. In an ideal world, they will call you and let you know but sometimes, they are in an attic or in a place where the reception is bad.

Hello Peter - whenever an appointment of any kind needs to be made, I typically prefer to be first in line. It's not always possible but waiting is not on my favorite activities.  Nor is patience.  😃

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your comment. My English teacher would say, "Patience is a virtue, possess it if you can, seldom in a woman, never in a man!"

I agree Peter, first thing in the morning is best, as later in the day, he could have to cancel and come the next day!

Hi Joan,

Yes, it's all about efficiency without giving up good service! I just realized yesterday that Palantir moved from CA to Denver. I hope you get to relocate some of their employees..

Good morning Peter,

I have a favorite plumber and I always like to start out with an appointment first thing! Each job is different and some are more comlicated and take more time which can push other appointments later.

Hi Dorie,

That's great to have a go to and reliable plumber! Randy told me that he chose to be a plumber because it was a job that wouldn't be taken by automation and robots! How did he know that thirty years ago!?

I get it, Peter. That's why I also always book my own appointments, for example with my hair stylist, to be first. That way I know exactly when I'll be done... no one who came late before me and held me up!
