As Autumn Arrives
I Finally Finished Falling. . .
I finished Falling, a book published in 2021 by T. J. Newman a few days ago but alliteration is always amusing. At least to me. HaHa. And that HaHa is also a shout0ut to Brian England who initially alerted me as well as other ActiveRain members to this book and its first-time author in a post way back when.
Yes, it took me a while to pick up, then start reading the book. But I finished it. Finally. And I found it enjoyable. She has two other books that are now part of my always growing list of reading material.
I imagine some might find it a real page-turner. However, my journey was interrupted (AKA real life). And in a way that mimics the plot of the fast-moving storyline too. Be prepared for twists and turns.
Newman’s previous life in the airline industry lends credibility to her writing. That's certainly in evidence with technical (but not too many) references and real-life situations. And some seem a bit far-fetched. But isn't that reality. I won’t go into additional detail, but this tale takes on much in its cross-country flight. And don't miss the acknowledgments at the end, I believe there is a lesson (and a possible book on the road to publishing).
Maybe something I shared will resonate with you or perhaps an endorsement from Brian matters. Either way is good - I believe reading can be enriching. Feeding our mind is nutritious to our well-being. Even entertaining.
