Transition to Fall 2024 in Watertown CT

I love this series of posts that you do each fall. We drove up to New York City yesterday for Hamilton’s 9th birthday party.  The trees between DC and NYC are just starting to show the least hint of color but it is definitely coming along

Good morning Ed. It has been so dry here, hard to tell if the leaves are turning or dying. I think we are experiencing a bit of both. Enjoy your day.

The color is certainly beautiful to see and I look forward to seeing the changes on a weekly basis!

Ed by this time next week we will be a canopy of colors here in CT.  It is short lived but beautiful.

Hello Ed - the signs of a new season can be quite subtle to some.   Yet they can be quite noticeable to others.  Each of us senses such things differently.  Happy Sunday.  Happy Fall.

I hope you are enjoying this first day of autumn.

Ed, we are seeing some mountain trees turn, but even some down here in the City.

New England states have always had a front row center seat to the finest of fall colors, Ed.  Our trees here in Sacramento remain unchanged.

But in the meantime, Ed, that lone tree is striking!!!  Love it. And to echo what Dorie Dillard Austin TX said...not happening here in Texas. 

This is the one time of year (and maybe the start of Spring as well) that I am jealous of you guys up north.

That's a beautiful tree, Ed. Hard to believe it's Fall and all that it brings. The trees that change colors here ( yes, we do have them) have started doing so and it's getting cooler at night. I'm not looking forward to the time change, though.
