Fall in the Mountains

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Pocono Mountain Lakes Realty RB 066506

Summer is over and it’s officially the fall equinox. While the Pocono Mountain region is considered a year-round destination, many would say that you can’t beat autumn in the mountains. Pennsylvania is routinely voted the best state for foliage across the country, and the Poconos do not disappoint. What better time to see the beauty that the region has to offer?

Whether you’re visiting for just a weekend or have a vacation home in the mountains that you can come back to time and again, there are endless ways to enjoy the cooler months in the mountains before the snow sets in. Some of the best ways to see the leaves changing are by hiking and bicycling. The Poconos is home to many parks, both big and small, including state parks such as Hickory Run, Nescopeck, Lehigh Gorge, and Beltzville – just to name a few! Looking for something less strenuous? Grab a coffee and your camera and drive the endless backroads and scenic paths to see the colors in full swing from the comfort of your car, or sit out on the porch and watch the leaves fall. There are tons of ways to enjoy the foliage and sweater weather of fall in the mountains: you just have to get here!

Time to book your stay this fall? I can get you here!

I have traveled across the country on business and regardless of where I would be the Northeast has always been the place to be when it comes to fall foliage, and Pennsylvania is up there as well.

Hello Rich Hickory Run State Park was always fun to hike in in the fall.  St. Frances lake was great for bass fishing also.  I remember fall well there.

Your part of the country always delights us with autumn colors, Rick.  Here in California, our leaves haven't started to turn yet.
