Fun Fall activities for many families include a visit to a pumpkin patch, picking apples, corn mazes, hay rides. CHARLOTTE PUMPKIN PATCHES
- Hall Family Farm: 445 West Rebound Road in Lancaster, SC. Open until November 3rd. Includes 7-acre corn maze, goat walk, kids walk, kitchen and bakery. Check the website for hours and prices for pumpkins.
- Lineberger's Farm: 906 Dallas Stanley Highway in Dallas, NC. Established in 1929, Lineberger's Farm offers both pumpkin picking and muscadine grape picking in October and November. Admission is free. Open weekends in September and daily in October.
CHARLOTTE CORN MAZES & HAY RIDES
- Hall Family Farm: 445 West Rebound Road in Lancaster, SC. Hall Family Farm features a 7-acre corn maze, as well as a smaller corn maze.
- Cherry Place Farms: 1922 Oakdale Road in Rock Hill, SC. During the month of October open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. The October festival is a self-guided tour of the farm featuring a two-acre corn maze, hayrides, visiting and feeding the animals, barnyard play areas for children, free popcorn. Carving-size pumpkins are available for purchase. Check the website for hours. Admission is $10/person.
- Country Days Corn Maze: 416 Joe Lee Helms Road in Indian Trail, NC. Open from September 27 till November 2. Includes free and paid activities. For prices for corn maze and other farm activities, click here.
- Rural Hill (Amazing Maize Maze): 4431 Neck Road in Huntersville, NC. This is one of the largest corn mazes in the Southeast, located in a historic location. The corn maze is open until October 27th. Check the website for schedule of events.
- Lineberger's Farm: 906 Dallas Stanley Highway in Dallas, NC. Hay rides are $7.50/person. Each rider receives a free medium sized pumpkin from the patch. Check the website for hours of operation.

- Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery: 1860 Black Highway in York, South Carolina. NO fee to visit the orchard; payment is based on what purchases are made and activities attended. And don't forget about the hard cider bar on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays! Reservations needed to pick your own apples.
