The other day I wrote a post about a couple of phone calls I received of folks needing advice. One was from a long time client and the other was from my brother Paul. Paul is a very kind, loving guy who cares deeply about being there for others. He also has a very funny sense of humor and always has since he was a kid! I talk to Paul on a regular basis and could tell that the other day when he called that he was quite upset about what was happening with one of his grade school friends.
His friend has not lived near Paul in MN for many years but they've kept in touch. He lives in a small town in CA. But, sadly his friend is dying of cancer and just isn't thinking straight about taking care of business regarding his affairs after his passing. Paul, bless his heart, was trying to get him to see that he needed to take care of things. His friend didn't seem to care, at all. I told Paul, that he's got to want to do something or there wasn't much he could do for him.
Better yet, I suggested I could ask a good friend Kathleen Daniels, Probate & Trust Specialist to call him as she was an estate/probate expert and really knew her stuff. He was very open to that idea. Kathleen did call Paul and they had a good conversation that covered a lot of bases. She took the time to ask questions and answer his questions and concerns. And trust me, Paul couldn't speak more highly of her for taking the time to help him out, when there was nothing in it for her. She did it out of the goodness of her heart. And that is who Kathleen is - a dear heart! She truly cares about people. I can't thank her enough for helping out my brother. He finally feels the burden is lifted of trying to take care of his friend, unless he is willing/able to do what needs to be done. Thank you so much Kathleen!💕
This my AR friends, is what our community is made of - kind, caring people willing to go the extra mile to help each other out. We are truly blessed!
