Get Out of Bed

By

Sometimes it seems like the whole day is a tug of war.

Maybe like Joe, it starts right from the beginning of just getting out of bed. Being semi-retired I think about staying in bed every day BUT thank God the only days I do is when I am "for sure" ill.

One thing I can tell you about ALL of the successful Real Estate agents I know is they all get out of bed everyday by 9:00 AM at the latest. In these days of working from home I can not say with any certainty when they leave home but in my day of working out of a brick and mortar office they were in the office by 9:00. While they were in and out of the office all day I don't know when most successful agents call it a day but I do know they never took off their Real Estate "hat". I usually took mine off after dinner as money has never been as important to me as family.

Old family picture.

The only time I am still in bed anywhere after 730am is when I am sick.   Love the family picture !

Good morning, Bob... never during my working years (which are close on 50) have I been out of bed later than 5am, unless I was sick.

Nina Hollander, Broker you are the main reason I schedule my posts for 4:00 AM. I roll out of bed at 6:00 but my thoughts of you start around 5:00. 😌

My internal body clock wakes me up at 5am, or very soon thereafter, and I just get up. In fact, I was just discussing this with my husband yesterday - I cannot even remember the last time I slept past 6am. I just can't do it.

I'm right there with you Kat Palmiotti in that I can not lay there past 6:00.

Good morning Bob. My internal alarm clock is stuck between five and six in the morning. When I was younger it was between 4:30 and 5. These days drifting to 5:00 and 5:30. Being retired maybe I will drift to 5:30 to 6. More likely to settle for 4:45 to 5:15. Enjoy your day.

Wayne Martin this must be another trait we inherited at birth although I know mine was reinforced by having morning paper routes as a kid.

Good Morning Bob "RealMan" Timm

I shoot for 7 a.m. to rise but many times I'm up between 5 a.m.& 6 a.m. Some days it more of a struggle but that's just life.

Life certainly can be/is a struggle Doug Dawes . When I worked out of a brick and mortar office I was usually the first one in at 7:00 to 7:30 every weekday.

I might need to get out my old name badge since that seems to be popular these days.

Peter Mohylsky, Beach Broker I even had a LED name badge that not only gave my name but I could also program in messages like "Have a Happy Halloween" . It was fun and it got a lot of attention. That being said I think the little Realtor badge got as many or more leads.

Bob I'm sure not one of those that slept in and still don't unless I really, really need to.  For years I was up by at least 6 and out the door hiking 4 or 5 miles and that was a great start to the day!  And if it wasn't hiking it was attending or running some network or business meeting that started early. Enjoyed that too.

Love the picture Anna "Banana" Kruchten . I hope I stay healthy in 2025 so I can get back to long walks and bike rides.

My body clock has me up between 5-6. It depends on how late I stayed up watching a baseball or football game. I have never spent a day in bed while sick. Just can't do it.

I do like being pampered when I'm sick Kathy Streib . I have a very compromised immune system. The Doc says I'm very close to being labeled as having Lupus thus the best way for my body to recover is to be in bed. Like yourself I can not stay in bed for a whole day no matter how sick I am.

Loved this post Bob "RealMan" Timm  not many things I am grateful that politicians and governments created, but the Covid Pandemic Shutdown was great for me.... I have always worked from home for the past 24 plus years. Now it made it acceptable... I do  not even go into the office because I can be on Zoom for the meetings:)Endre

p.s.: and I can be at "work" in my bathrobe with my mug of coffee before 9am:) and since I am a land guy not many appointments to worry about....
