Wordless Wednesday ..Those Dogwood trees

Each spring, I eagerly await the sight of dogwood trees in bloom, it’s such a beautiful scene.
Recently, I came across a post by Nina Hollander about October, which reminded me that I get a second chance to enjoy these trees. In the fall, their leaves change to stunning multi-colors, and the sight is breathtaking, especially when sunlight filters through.

It’s also a gentle reminder that dogwoods are among the first trees to shed their leaves, signaling the start of fall cleanup season..  I am not so excited up that.

The cleanup is inescapable, and since I look forward to the changing leave I put up with it.😀

It is nice to be here, especially when I see so many familiar faces.

Hello Jennifer - my inability to identify many trees, plants and other things that flourish in the garden is pretty close to non-existent. Thankfully, I can still experience these signs of beauty in nature.  Thank you for sharing the photos.

Michael, I can relate,    I once created a video to remind me of the names of the plants in my garden.  I am doing much better now but I still turn to Google Lens.   

I hope this will be a great Fall.

Good morning, Jennifer... lovely photos. I've not had luck with dogwoods here in Charlotte... although we do have plenty of them. I think the climate stresses them. And thanks for the mention... always happy to be a source of inspiration.

Nina, I am so sorry your dogwoods are not doing so well.  Soil and climate sure make a difference. 

The dogwoods I have are native to the area, so they thrive.
