Fall Colors North Idaho

Hello Mark - seasonal shifts can be quite subtle in some locales.  Then nature takes a different course.  It can be confusing but also a reminder that there is much going on.  Simultaneously as well as independently.  

Good morning, Mark... I've been to see the fall colors in the NC mountains and it's hard to describe their beauty. No need to feel guilty about posting as I think we all need a bit of beauty in our lives today.

Good morning Mark. The devastation caused by Helene is shocking. My heart goes out to all the victims who desperately need help. May all the need it get it soon. Action is key, not words. Enjoy your day.

Wow, such beautiful and vibrant colors!  I don't see that in my area and I would have to go up north a bit to see it, haha.

I think our trees are on the same schedule as yours Mark Don McInnes, Sandpoint-Idaho . Today, all day, we are experiencing 50 mph winds so we are losing leaves AND branches all over the place.

Our trees here in Sacramento haven't began turning color yet.  I always look forward to fall colors.

Mark- what a beautiful and compassionate thought. The tree is beautiful and perhaps it is a reminder of hope or a sight of relief for those suffering.

Oh I love the stunning photo you posted! I grew up in upstate NY and always love the vibrant colors of the leaves turning. We use to rake and rake and then jump in the piles! The smell the cooler air...really announced fall was in the air. Idaho is gorgeous!

Beyond missing my home church, I do miss the Midwest Fall Colors.  Living here in NW AZ, I have beautiful and colorful sunrises and sunsets that help to ease that missing.

It is hard to imagine the destruction from Helene and now Milton is arriving behind it. But beauty survives even in the midst of destruction, the sunset or sunrise offering hope in the middle of destruction. One of the things about America is the will to rebuild and make good, however long it takes. 

I don’t think I’ve ever had that experience in Idaho and I should probably go and visit and explore, Thanks for posting, Mark!

Thank you for sharing such beauty, but even more so for the respectful, sensitive way you did it, in light of the incredible destruction caused by Helene and now on the verge of Milton whose landfall is imminent.  Mother Nature can indeed be cruel as well as beautiful.
