Carlsbad Village Street Faire
~ November 3, 2024 ~
The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is a hugely popular event for 45 years, returning to Carlsbad Village Sunday, November 3rd. The Faire is hosted by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Kennedy and Associates.
The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is reported to be the largest outdoor 1-day fair in the US. There is also a Carlsbad Village Street Faire held every May.
The Carlsbad Village Street Faire is held from 8 am until 4 pm. That should be ample time to enjoy hundreds of vendors and shop to your heart’s content. (photos are from another of Carlsbad's well-known art fairs in the Village).

The Carlsbad Village Street Faire takes place in the center of town, along Grand Avenue from Carlsbad Boulevard to Jefferson. The Faire also spills over onto side streets, including State Street.
You should be prepared for some road closures in the Village, and you’ll likely find parking is limited. Officials expect roughly 100,000 attendees so expect it to be crowded.
So what can you expect to find at the Carlsbad Village Street Faire? There will be hundreds of vendors offering arts and crafts, gift items, unique clothing, home furnishings and accessories. You’ll also find collectibles, plants and garden items, antiques, products from around the world, and more.

In addition, there is a traditional pancake breakfast, an international food court, a beer garden, live music, and an activity area for children.
Despite the crowds it can be a fun time to explore the Village. And the Carlsbad beaches are just a couple of blocks away for a stroll after shopping. That is if you’re not too tired.
Parking is very limited due to the crowds and the vendor booths, so plan to arrive early. Parking is free in Carlsbad which is good news but you should expect to walk a bit.
Another option is to take the free shuttles offered throughout the day at approximately 15-minute intervals. The shuttles are located in 2 locations. One is at the northwest corner of Sears at The Shoppes at Carlsbad (at the 78 and El Camino Re al). The second location Another option is to take the free shuttles offered throughout the day at approxima tely 15-minute intervals.is the Poinsettia Coaster Station on Avenida Encinas between Palomar Airport Road and Poinsettia.
Another good travel option is the Coaster commuter train especially if you are traveling a distance. Be sure to check the schedule to plan your time to and from the Faire. The Carlsbad train station is a short distance from the Village Street Faire area just west of State Street. Take the worry out of trying to find a parking place near the Street Faire!
Engel & Volkers will host a free bike valet service in their parking lot at 2965 Roosevelt Street just steps from the Street Faire. Ride your bike to the Faire and store it safely and securely while you enjoy your time.
