Tuesday Afternoon Hurricane Milton Update

By
Real Estate Agent with TOUCHSTONE REAL ESTATE SL3537832

Hopefully if you are riding out the storm at home you are prepared by now.  Looks like for The Villages, Florida rain will be starting overnight tonight with the worst weather hitting Wednesday night into Thursday.  By Friday the sun will be out cooler temperatures and you have survived Hurricane Milton, we will be the lucky ones!

Interesting website I have been watching is FL511.com/cctv which has the traffic cameras from throughout the state.  Select I-75 or I-95 and maybe be thankful you decided to stay.  Don’t forget The Villages has seven cameras showing the three squares and Sawgrass if you want to watch the palm trees blowing.

Remember that Generac commercial husband outside trying to get the generator connected and the wife with the window open handing him the extension cords in the pouring rain?  There is a better way, do it a day before, see photo!

I spoke to many of you the past 48 hours looking for my insights and some of you who haven’t returned to The Villages for the season telling me where your spare LP tank was at your home if I needed it for my generator, Thank You.

Dick, thank you for the timely update on Hurricane Milton. It’s always a challenging time when storms approach, and your reminders about preparedness are invaluable. The resources you mentioned, like the traffic cameras on FL511, are great for keeping everyone informed. It’s also heartwarming to hear about the community support among neighbors, especially those looking out for each other with backup supplies. As the storm passes and we look forward to clearer skies, I hope everyone stays safe and well. Here’s to a smooth recovery post-hurricane!

That's very nice of others offering you their tanks. I seem to recall you bought quite a few so you should be set. Hopefully the storm will magically change course. :-)
