The Northern Lights Show Further South than Normal
I have had an item on the bucket list that was going to have me traveling to cooler areas of the Northern hemisphere at a time of year when I want warm climes.
This was so that I could gaze and be amazed by the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights.
So pleased was I that they came to me and all I had to do was go outside and gaze upward.
The phenomena known as the Northern Lights, or Southern, as it can also occur over the South pole as well, is caused by interaction with the Suns activities puling on the Earth's magnetic field.
This launches particles at high speeds that interact with the upper layer of the earth's gasses.
The simple reality is that it is a common sight in the cooler areas where the air is less dense, and no one knows why the colors can be so varied.
I don't really care for the why as I just watched the show and just by walking out the door and looking up.
