Goodlettsville is a northern suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. Founded by Casper Mansker in the 1700's, Goodlettsville has one of the oldest brick homes in the state and a marvelous award-winning city park - Moss-Wright Park.
Goodlettsville was incorporated in the early 1960's and today has a population of approximately 15,500 (2006 census). The heart of the city is located only 16 miles from downtown Nashville -- offering small town living and big city conveniences.
The city is situated in two counties - Davidson (Nashville) and Sumner -- consequently there is some confusion about just exactly where this city should be placed in many publications (Davidson or Sumner) ... and in this forum it has settled in as existing in Davidson County. But as a Realtor who knows schools and taxes can be quite different from county to county, it is important to make that distinction!
