Gaithersburg Community Survey Results

In a recent random survey of City residents, 86% of respondents described Gaithersburg as an “excellent” or “good” place to live, with high marks also given for the quality of the City’s parks and recreational programs/facilities, recycling, yard waste and bulk pickup collection, customer service, City buildings and facilities, and police services.

The survey, available in both English and Spanish, was sent to 3,000 randomly selected households with 401 surveys (13%) returned. The City rated above the U.S. average in 45 of 51 areas. The top overall priorities indicated by respondents include traffic flow/ease of getting around Gaithersburg, maintenance of City streets, public safety, and affordable housing.
