2024 Colors of Fall in Connecticut 3

We are into the 3rd week of the progression of colors for the year and there was an appreciable change in colors over the week.

The location is in Watertown, CT at the Crestbrook Park Golf course, and I chose this location as the hills offer great vistas and as it is in Litchfield County, the weather is a bit cooler than my home location.

Maintaining the same sequence of holes, I submit the photo of the 11th fairway with views down to the green and back to the tee.

Then moving over to the fairway on the 15th hole as it was closer for the walk.

Then walking over to the 13th hole with a look up towards the tee and then back down the fairway.

The next photo is from the tee of the 14th fairway with the focus on the opposite side of the valley where the trees are still not showing as much color as the golf course trees.

Then moving up to the front 9, I took another shot of the 1sr fairway, looking down to the pro shop building and if you look you will see the flag at full flutter in the breeze.

The photo below is in the rough between the 11th and 12th holes to get another view of the other side of the valley.

The below photo is on the 11th fairway looking across and down to the green.

The photo below is the 7th fairway looking down towards the green. The colors are brighter on the right side than the left.

Coming across the fairways, I took a shot looking down the 9th fairway which is the longest par 5 on the course and plays longer as it is all up hill.

While crossing a fairway, I liked the colors on a tree and just snaped it for the blog.

As I was leaving the park, I stopped to take photos of the pond with the trees lining the banks.

Again, there was too much wind which made for a chop on the water and did not allow for the shot of the reflection of colors.

Below are the links to the first of this year's series.

Ed, I always said I wanted to see these color changes in person.  Saw on the news the other night, the traffic jams viewing the colors.   Hmm.....

Hi Ed:

These are beautiful photos that really show off the Autumn foliage. Nature is certainly beautiful in New England at this time of year.

Ed, great that you are able to get out and enjoy the colors!  I keep hearing how the lack of usual rain is making the colors less vibrant, but they still seem to put on a wonderful show!
