Beckett has officially graduated from her cotillion course, and what a journey it’s been! This past Sunday, she wrapped up six weeks of learning and laughter with a magical dinner dance that marked her final night in the program. Dressed in a stunning blue dress, she radiated confidence as she showed off the social graces she’s worked hard to perfect.
Beckett, alongside several of her 5th-grade classmates, stepped into the world of etiquette with enthusiasm. Following in the footsteps of her big brother, Hudson, she embraced the opportunity to learn the timeless art of good manners and social skills. The program, which began on September 15 at the Shirley McPhail School of Dance, culminated with the grand finale on a Sunday evening in October, where proud friends and family gathered to celebrate. |
While the highlight may have been the learning dance steps, cotillion is so much more than that. It’s about instilling life skills—how to hold yourself with poise; navigate social settings with kindness, and master table etiquette. These young ladies and gentlemen weren’t just learning how to waltz; they were gaining confidence, respect, and invaluable life lessons.
Throughout the course, positive reinforcement was key. Beckett and her peers weren’t just learning—they were having fun! Cotillion gave them a space to grow; building qualities that will serve them well as they step into their futures. In today’s fast-paced world, a little extra refinement and kindness can make all the difference—and it’s safe to say Beckett is ready to shine!
