I look forward to the Fall Foliage near the Richard B Fisher Center on Bard College campus each year.
Designed by the well known architect Frank Gehry the style of the center is referred to as Deconstructivism. A term many are not familiar with, it is described by Wikipedia as "a postmodern architectural movement which appeared in the 1980s. It gives the impression of the fragmentation of the constructed building commonly characterized by an absence of obvious harmony, continuity, or symmetry. " I think the description fits.
So far, the Fall Colors this year are not as vibrant as last year, the lack of rain and the above average temperature in the area are not ideal Fall Foliage conditions.
Fall Colors on the road to the Fisher Center
Heading toward the Fisher Center I have great admiration for nature, the road is lined by trees with red fall color and in the distance are the majestic Catskill Mountains.
Colors by the Manor House
The Fall Colors by the Manor House are always vibrant even when the weather condition is not the best.
