Apps Away…Again

 

When agents called me to consult on a listing, one of the first requests was… “Please get them to paint a more user-friendly color!!”

(The other request was to get the seller to “declutter”)

Seeing is believing so I used an app on my iPhone to show them!

I use an app by Sherwin-Williams which is now called Sherwin-Williams Color Expert. 

All you have to do is take a photo of the room you want to paint or upload one you already have.

Choose a color and Ta-daa!!!!

One of my sellers had an in-your-face chartreuse wall that hit you in the face as soon as you walked in the room. (His other rooms were bright red, bright yellow, and deep navy blue) I used this app to show what a difference a different color choice could make.

 

 

There is also a feature that offers color suggestions. Again…all you need to do is upload a photo!!!

I have the Sherwin Williams app, but I thought I could use it for trying out colors for the exterior of my home, which is not the case, haha.  Do you know of an app where I could see what colors look like on the outside of my home?

We have a neutral color thoughout our home.

When we purchased it (from an artist), many of the walls were covered with decorations and the kitchen was painted dark red. We painted over all of it even though the work was high quality.

Some people get so attached to the colors and fail to recognize that a prospective buyer can see the photos online and not want to go there even though it could be perfect for them.

Hiu Kathy Streib . I actually tried that. AI didn’t do very well on the project. Of course, that was a while ago, and I’m thinking of trying again using different AI platforms and see if there is any improvement.

I can remember back in the 1970s, I painted a bathroom chartreuse.  It held my interest for a year or two, and then I painted it a more relaxed color.

I haven't used it in awhile but I do remember using it for a few of my clients. It makes their decision so much easier. Makes the home stager's job much easier too. I remember choosing colors for homes and crossing my fingers that I had given the right advice. Luckily for me, those suggestions all worked out. LOL
