APPS THAT MAKE MY LIFE BETTER
1. Instagram
2. Camera on Iphone
3. Exercise app on Apple Watch
You may have gathered that I am extremely challenge motivated. Although I love ActiveRain, and the connections we make, the knowledge that is shared.... I am a sucker for a challenge!
This October challenge by Carol Williams and Frank Worrell is right up my alley. And I'm happy to share the apps- that you probably already use daily and I really believe they make my life better!
Instagram @kschowe
Social media has long been a tool of Realtors and an effective one. I do post listings, neighborhood photos, and some real estate content there. But mostly I share my passion for my golf, art, cooking, paper crafts, and my love of our home and community. I also participate in monthly art challenges on Instagram and share my obsession with #puzzlepurses! ( I wrote about that a few months ago! )
Once again I am always up for a challenge. This month is aptly titled #birdtober or #birdtober2024! This is the 3rd year I have participated in it-- and this time with a twist. Instead of drawing each bird individually on my iPad, as in years past, this year I decided to combine my passions for birds and puzzle purses. Yep. So each day you draw a bird (from prompt list) and mine are drawn on a folded puzzle purse!
So if you are looking for a challenge- check out Instagram!
2. Camera on iPhone
Frankly, I don't what I would do without my camera on my iPhone. It is my constant companion
.... previewing homes, documenting info for sellers, capturing the beauty on my walk, saving a special moment with friends, sharing food creations, and basically creating a diary of my life.
Another project (hobby) I have going this year is an #embroideryjournal... they are a crafty way to journal your year. When I get too busy to keep up with my embroidery journal ... I can look back through my photos to catch up on the highlights that I want to chronicle. Thanks to my iPhone camera, they are saved on my phone! ❤️
3. Exercise App on Apple Watch
One of the main reasons I wanted to get the Apple watch- was when I found out that it could track your laps while swimming. Along with steps, movement, time standing, etc. But the swimming tracker was the big one.
In the summer I swim laps every day. I don't miss. And one of the reasons is that my Apple watch counts my laps, allows me to set goals, and even calculates calories burned. Talk about motivating! Now that it is too cool for swimming... it actually kicks my butt in the morning to get out and take a walk. (I'd rather be swimming, but hey, I'm at least moving.) Would I get my exercise in without the Apple watch exercise app? Maybe... but on those iffy days... probably not.
The down side to owning an Apple watch, is that it basically makes all my other watches obsolete. I just won't wear them anymore...
If you are challenge motivated, as I am, try these apps to make your life better! 😊
