Will we see our First Snow Flake this Week?

By

In Denver, it has been a very mild Fall, and we have enjoyed several 70 and 80 degree days!   We have been 10-15 degrees above normal temps lately.

This week we COULD see a flake or two in the City, and the mountains will see some much needed snow.   Wolf Creek has opened for skiing for the season, with only a 13" base.   The average day for the first day of measurable snowfall is October 18th.  We missed that date this year!

For as many years as I can remember, it is usually cold for Halloween, and the kids have needed to wear some warmer clothes under their costumes.    This year it will be a 58 degree day, so not too bad.

I like the mellow weather, and the snow can take it's sweet time coming to Denver!

Hi Joan,  Your weather patterns are very similar to what we are experiencing here in Wisconsin.  We are not expecting  snow here this week.  Still experiencing temperatures above average for this time of year.

We had frost this morning but no precipitation in the forecast so no, snow is not on our horizon.

Our weather has been warm also but it looks as though it'll finally be more seasonal. There is snow forecast in some of the mountains of Montana, but we don't have any in the forecast for us yet. Good! I've got stuff to do!

Hi Joan, it's warm in Tempe, AZ, it is that time of year when we may turn on the heat in the early hours of the day, and then switch to cooling in the afternoon. I saw the snowing in Snowball Flagstaff about 10 days ago.

Enjoy your Denver warm weather! 🌞❄️

Kat Palmiotti how is your garden doing?   I saw a post about a zucchini that was huge.   Is it almost done for the year?    We never did get a flake, maybe next week.

Kris Collis, Associate Broker we never did get any flakes, just a few raindrops, and it did drop below 30, was a cold day.   We have TONS of leaves everywhere, but some leaves are hanging on still.

Hannah Williams we had a record high over 80 the day before this storm blew in.   We do have "roller coaster" weather, and seeing those drastic changes are normal for Denver.   We are expecting 60's for the next few days, and MAYBE Monday will give us snow.  Shall see!

Steffy Hristova I have my Nest on cooling and heating right now.  It was above 80 the day before that storm blew it, and does get warm in the afternoon.   Enjoy your temps!
