Happy Halloween!! I had the pleasure of pre-celebrating Halloween yesterday by facilitating a drum circle for "Willing Hearts, Helpful Hands" programing through the Parker Jewish Institute for caregivers and populations navigating Alzheimer's and dementia. We enjoyed some sweet treats and great beats!
We even played a drumming zombie game in honor of Halloween! This game was inspired by Rhythm2Recovery where we had one person (me, haha) stand in the center of the drum circle and slowly move like zombie toward other drummers who are playing, lol! The way for drummers to not become zombified was by sharing one interesting unknown fact about themselves with the group. From this interaction we learned that a couple who was drumming with us has been married for 61 years!! We also found out, both of them were born on the same day! Pretty cool!
