What's Your Most Productive Social Media Platform?

I will be the first to confess that social media is not my favorite tool. In some ways it seems to be a necessary evil. And of course in the current political environment our posts can get drowned in a sea of partisan politics.

I guess my favorite is Facebook (personal page not business). I can stay top of mind, and keep up with real estate agents all over the world. Since my market is so photogenic (this was a random photo from lunch last week), instagram Is also useful.

What are you guys using? Anyone having luck with TikTok? Feel free to comment advice or your username for a follow!

Expert guidance. Exceptional results.

Thank you for sharing your insights, Doug Rogers! I appreciate the tips, and I find LinkedIn to be my most productive platform, while I haven’t ventured into TikTok yet (and probably won’t).

Hello Doug - may I have the definition of "productive" as it relates to social media.   Happy Saturday.

I mostly use Facebook to keep in touch with what people are doing in their lives. I have several other FB pages I manage also (a local one, a non-real estate business one, and two non-profit ones) so I'm on there at least twice a day. Occassionally I will post a photo to Instagram but I often forget about that one. I don't use Tik Tok, rarely log in to Linked In, and rarely log in to Twitter. And I don't think I'd care much if they all went away. There are other ways to stay in touch!

Hi Michael- I'm retired so my interest in Social Media is strictly for fun. I like Instagram for the videos and Facebook for keeping up with friends. I average 5 minutes a day on Facebook.
