2024 Colors of Fall in Connecticut 5 and Final

This is the 5th and final week in the series and the colors are definitely past peak and the trees are really  arren.

The location is in Watertown, CT at the Crestbrook Park Golf course, and I chose this location as the hills offer great vistas and as it is in Litchfield County, the weather is a bit cooler than my home location.

Maintaining the same sequence of holes, I submit the photo of the 11th fairway with views down to the green and back to the tee.

And again, looking back up the hill towards the tee area.

Again, the colors on the opposite side of the valley have almost completely disappeared.

A view from the 13rg green looking back down the fairway. All the levees are gone, but the sky's not gray.

On the lower side is the par 5, 15th hole nd it is also showing very little tree color.

On the way to the front side, I stopped in front of the 1st green to look down the fairway towards the clubhouse.

The view of the opposite side of the valley from the rough on the 11th hole shows the lack luster shades.

The top of the front side is the par 5- 4th hole and below is a view of the green.

Next is the par 3 5th hole and a green that needs focus to stay on it.

The log downhill par 4-7th hole is always colorful but the trees are now bare.

Then we move over to the par 5 9th hole that showed brilliant colors a couple of weeks ago and now are almost barren.

The pond at the entrance of the park had brilliant colors earlier and now they are just bare trees.

As I ws walking back to the parking lot to leave, I had to walk past the pro shop building and the flag seemed to be waving goodbye to me.

Below are the links to the previous posts of this year's series.

Good morning Ed. For years my experience with fall colors was through your posts. This year, living way outside of downtown Chicago. we experienced the vibrant fall colors in our new neighborhood. I was so excited one day to see so many red and full trees. That night we had a wind storm and the next morning the trees were barren and the ground full off leaves. Too short! Enjoy your day.

Hi Ed... your leaves disappeared really quickly... at least compared with Charlotte. While we have lots of leaves on the ground many trees are still full of leaves.

Good morning Ed,

I've enjoyed your series of the autumn colors as they progressed. It does look like they are behind you but what an enjoyable experience of arm chair traveling through your series!

The trees in front of my house are undergoing the change and they are dropping their leaves to be blown all around.
