I am thankful it was not my right arm!
Recently, I landed a fabulous new listing and met with my professional photographer to get photos for the MLS and my advertising. However, amidst all the excitement, I had an accident and managed to break my left wrist! It’s a funny twist of fate, but I’m genuinely grateful it wasn’t my right arm—that would have made things much more complicated.
A big shoutout goes to my friend, who drove me to the hospital and treated me with candy—after all, it was Halloween. My favorite orthopedist saw me immediately, took x-rays, explained the break, immobilized the arm, and made sure I got the care I needed without any long waits.
Now, let’s talk about this incredible new futuristic cast I have! Initially, it was just a flat sheet of black plastic, but when heated, it molded perfectly to my arm. It’s called a FASTFORM, and I genuinely think it’s such an incredible innovation. It must have been created with AI.
There’s so much to appreciate about it—it’s lightweight, breathable, removable, and waterproof!
Despite my setback, I’m finding joy and support around me. Life may bring unexpected challenges, but I embrace gratitude and celebrate the positive moments that come my way. I am still putting listings in, uploading pictures to the MLS, taking calls, and making appointments. But I am doing these things a bit more slowly.
This is my entry for November's Grateful contest hosted by Debe Maxwell, CRS.
