His artistic musical abilities were tasteful, full of energy and emotion. Because of Quincy Jones, many people in the musical fields reached stardom. He was a genius. My favorite memory of how he uplifted spirits for all ages was when I was a playground aid in my children's elementary school. It was during the era when Michael Jackson released "Thriller." These were grades 1 through 3 and when one child started singing "Thriller," the whole group of kids stopped what they were doing and joined in. Kids. They are so flexible and entertaining. Isn't it funny how kids can forget their clothing, lunchbox, or something else, but when it comes to good lyrics and beats to the music, they seem to know every word and can dance to the music with no inhibitions. I loved those skill children exhibited without feeling embarrassed.
Quincy Jones was a legend, and he had natural talent and good vibrations. He will be sorely missed but his music and movies he produced will go on. What he gave to the world was joyful and his entertainment enjoyable. His six-decade career made a difference globally. From the smooth sound of "Fly Me to the Moon," to diverse, tense films like "In Cold Blood," he was a good judge of how music fits into the mood of the singers, actors, or real-life stories. In "Roots," he was a Master of artistic abilities and a person of truth. He died on November 3, 2024, and will be remembered.
