Appreciating the Positives in our Lives 1
With months of activities in our rear-view mirrors, we stride into November with a positive for the approaching holidays, the first being Thanksgiving. It is also a month of reflection and for giving thanks.
On this particular day, November 5, 2024, which is our 30th wedding anniversary, I am especially thankful for the partner that has shared the past 30 years with me as my wife and closest friend.
Cauna has a positive outlook on life and is always searching for the good in people. Over time, this can only rub off on the people around her and she has made me a softer and more caring person.
We share the love of travel and for the years before we got married it may have been what kept here by my side. Having reservations is a good way to stop someone's thoughts of negative reservations.
I have had a connection to her family for longer than I have known her so maybe it was just a meant to be situation.
Of course, she says that had we gotten together sooner, we may well have ended up as a negative statistic, to which I always correct her.
There are life situations that we face that shape our character and lives and our previous engagements did that to us. When you learn from your mistakes, you know how to handle issues in the future.
As neither if us s getting any younger, and we march forward with a positive mindset we trust that we will have the strength to help each other through the trying times.
Today especially, I will have a special hug for her and hopefully we can celebrate together over dinner this evening.
With a total of 38 years as a couple we can only hope to progress and enjoy many more happy days in the future.
This is a post for the November, ActiveRain Challenge of Thanksgiving.
