Back in my High school days

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Hamm Homes

I grew up in a small town outside Allentown, Pennsylvania where my family owned a restaurant.  Growing up in the restaurant business was never easy, but it was a great learning experience.

During my school days, my dad had a hoagie contest where he donated 5 cents on each sandwich to the members of the Varsity N Club.  We built hoagies for 8 hours straight.  The club sold 14,500 hoagies that day.  My brother sold 1,100 of those hoagies and got the nickname "Hoagie" because of it.  He still has that nickname today so many years later.

Of course, I bet you can guess who does most of the cooking in my house now.
