November is finally here! Yes! I'm grateful all year round and honestly I practice gratefulness each and every day. AND......I enjoy the ActiveRain November Grateful Challenge. I could seriously write a grateful post every day. And who knows, maybe I will this year. Heaven knows I've got so much to be grateful this year in particular.
Today I'm grateful for being on my way to pain free in another week or so. I've been dealing with an SI Joint injury since June that was misdiagnosed, until I finally found an Orthopedic Doctor that knew within minutes where the problem was coming from. And I mean within 10 minutes of our first meeting he clearly 'got it'. Now I could be upset about all the other 'dudes' that so missed it and didn't ask the right questions....but why waste my time. Focus on what is working now is my motto.
I had the SI joint surgery last Wednesday and was able to go home the next day. The doctor told me to expect about 2 weeks of surgery pain and how to deal with it as best as possible. We are following his advice to a T. And by we, I mean Dr Banana (Gary) is my right hand partner in this.....and that's another grateful post on it's own! They also have a staff of excellent nurses we can call if we have any questions and/or concerns. So far we've had to call twice and they've helped tremendously. You wouldn't think this would hurt so much, but it does and it's expected to. BUT.....it's already better and on the downside of pain for which I'm very grateful. I look forward to being able to simply take a walk with Gary and little Norman around the block! Oh and BTW, little Norman has been at my side for the last week. He walks with me around the house and especially likes to take naps with me. Norman is such a sweet little pup!
Grateful for Seeing the Sunny Side of Things!
