Veterans Day in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Closures

In observance of Veterans Day, City offices and most facilities will be closed on Monday, November 11. The collection of recycled materials will take place as scheduled. The Mayor and City Council Work Session will take place on Tuesday, November 12. Read what will be open here.

Ceremony

Join us in honoring all U.S. military personnel who play an important role in safeguarding our nation during our Veterans Day Observance on Monday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at the City Hall Concert Pavilion. The patriotic ceremony will include words and music to commemorate the occasion, followed by a solemn wreath-laying ceremony. Joining the observance will be special guest speaker retired United States Air Force Col. David Rhodes.
