On November 1, 2024, the U.S. Census Bureau reported nationwide construction spending higher 0.1% to $2,148.8 billion in September of 2024 from $2,146.0 billion August of 2024, and jumped 4.6% from $2,055.2 billion in September of 2023.
Nationwide private construction up 0.0% to $1,653.6 billion in September of 2024 from $1,653.2 billion in August of 2024.
Residential construction increased 0.2% of $913.6 billion in September of 2024 from $912.2 billion August of 2024.
Non residential construction down 0.1% to $740.0 billion in September of 2024 from $741.0 billion in August of 2024.
The public construction gained 0.5% to $495.2 billion in September of 2024 from $492.9 billion in August of 2024.
The educational construction rose 0.3% to $104.2 billion in September of 2024 from $103.9 billion in August of 2024.
The highway construction grew 0.5% to $141.0 billion in September of 2024 from $140.3 billion in August of 2024.
