Madder Than a Mosquito in an Automated Mannequin Factory!
Looking to get a steal of a deal when scouring the internet for a house, Milly contacted every listing agent to make an offer without representation. In her mind, she was certainly smarter than any buyer agent out there!
All submissions were immediately rejected because Milly was at least $100,000 under market value. The more she tried, the more frustrated she became. Her overinflated ego got in the way of a successful home bid.
Dejected, she began to feel like a mosquito trapped in an automated mannequin factory. In reality, the lowball offers were insulting. Agents finally told her to bugger off and stop wasting their seller's time with the utter ridiculousness.
She’d been too proud, too stubborn, to seek professional help. Finally relenting after several weeks, she hired an experienced real estate agent to help guide her and give much needed advice. It was a humbling experience.
Milly listened closely to her buyer agent, instead of haphazardly buzzing around in circles, found a dream home, made a good offer, closed and lived happily ever after.
Moral of the story: Uninformed people will feel the sting of disappointment when allowing the ego to override common sense in any market! Best to hire an experienced real estate agent instead.
