As I reflect on what I’m grateful for, my children come to mind immediately. Each one has uniquely impacted me and helped me become a better person, teaching me lessons that only they could. Alexa, Aaron, and Jadyn, each in their own way, have shown me the beauty and depth of family and how much we can grow when we open ourselves to learning from each other.
Alexa has, over the years, taught me patience in ways I could never have imagined. Her perspective and approach to life are different, unique, and sometimes challenging. I’ve learned that every person and situation demands a fresh approach, and Alexa reminds me that patience is essential—not only with others but with myself. She’s helped me see that true understanding doesn’t come quickly or easily, and for that, I’m incredibly thankful.
Aaron is my rock. His sense of reason and stability is something I often lean on. When challenges arise, he brings a grounded, practical perspective that helps me see things more clearly. His advice is often wise beyond his years, and he’s become my go-to when I need to step back and view life through a calmer lens. His insights remind me to stay balanced and real.
Jadyn, my youngest, is a source of pure, unconditional love. Her heart is big enough to encompass all of us, and her loyalty to me is unwavering—even when I fall short, which I do more than I’d like to admit. Her belief in me has shown me the importance of being the best father I can be. Her warmth and trust constantly inspire me to keep growing.
In each of these beautiful souls, I see parts of myself, and I feel an immense gratitude for the privilege of being their father. They’ve shown me love, patience, wisdom, and growth in ways that words alone cannot capture.
