When I close my eyes I dream more often then not and when I do they are usually pretty mundane and not worth remembering. Every once in a while I have a "Happy" dream. We often wish each other "Sweet Dreams", isn't it nice when it happens?
As Realtors we often tell people we want to help them find their Dream Home... but dreams change. My dream home at the age of 18 was a sweet little one bedroom home that I could afford (barely). It was perfect of a single man of the age of 18.
My next dream home was a fixer-upper in the small community of Underwood ND (pop 500).
My current home was only 600 sq' when I purchased it but it was my dream home because I had a wife and two kids to put in it. BTW we have doubled the floor size and it is still a dream home to us even though the occupancy has dropped down to three now.
Not everybody's dream is BIG. Our family always liked to be close yet to each have their own space to withdraw into. When I was active Carol and I enjoyed looking at magnificent homes but we never desired to own one. Carol always said "I'd hate to clean this monster" and we both wondered out loud "Don't they want to see each other? I later found out in my career as a Realtor that is exactly why some people want a large home.
To each their own and to each their own dreams.
