Whew - Made it through the Snowstorm!

I have always enjoyed relo buyers.   They come into town, USUALLY know they have to find a home, look, sometimes do the inspection and go home.

This time, wasn't expecting a massive snowstorm with 35+" in some places!   Mother Nature should give us a trial run with our first snow, before experiencing FEET of snow, and with clients in our car!   Of course it started the morning they landed!

They originally said they wanted Castle Rock & Golden - no problem.   Then they sent me their list, and was from Kiowa to Lyons (near Estes Park) and I said OH SH**!   This was just a couple of days prior to their arrival, so couldn't pass it along to another agent at that point.

They had 19 properties to see over 4 days, and lots of miles in between.   Three sellers canceled due to not being able to plow the roads.  We were looking at 35- acre horse properties, so L O N G  driveways.    Didn't get stuck totally, but got close.   The news said --- DON'T GO OUT UNLESS YOU HAVE TO.   Guess I had to.

Did see some very interesting things along the way that I thought maybe you might like -

This home was builder by an eclectic homeowner, and wanted special things throughout the home.   There were "hidden refrigerator drawers" in bedrooms and two in the Primary room.

These photos were from a log home with 35 acres in Lyons with views of the plains.   The photos don't do it justice.  It was STUNNING.

There was a cute donkey named Rufus and the indoor arena was very cool.   I am not the horse expert, and learned a lot these last few days.

The best was at the property they love --- two sinks on the vanity, and was so cute!

The pole in the left sink, and the fish in the right sink!

Showing homes sure can bring some smiles, and many times some new things!

Good morning, Joan... I'm impressed! Even in NY City where we walked most everywhere when we showed homes, a snow storm would shut things down and buyers would cancel, as would sellers who had kids at home. As for Charlotte... forget about it! Just the hint of snow sends everyone home in advance! :)

Good morning Joan. Not sure I would have been out showing properties with that much snow on the ground. But, based in your photos, you saw some gems. Enjoy your day.

Nina Hollander, Broker normally buyers do cancel, but these buyers were from Michigan, and took time off work, scheduled, so we had to continue.

Wayne, definitely was looking forward to NOT driving in the snow, so happy to drive up north, where they didn't get much.

Jeffrey DiMuria 321.223.6253 Waves Realty originally they said Castle Rock and Golden, no biggie, then they told me where the others were.  By then we had signed the buyer agency, etc. so I was committed.

Doug Rogers not sure anyone would have said canceling due to two feet of snow was an excuse.    It probably was stupid to be out driving in it, but luckily, many stayed home, so roads were fairly open.

Hannah Williams only once did I "sort of" get stuck in a drift, and got out, thankfully.  It was very nerve-racking!   We did find a home, and working towards an offer now, it is an amazing home.

Will Hamm lots of driving, and luckily, driving a bit north, they didn't get as much soon.   They did find a home they love, and working towards an offer.

I'm impressed with the adventure you and your buyers had, Joan. That seems like a lot of snow for this time of year! Best wishes with your buyers' offer.

Thanks for sharing the interesting finds.
