I have always enjoyed relo buyers. They come into town, USUALLY know they have to find a home, look, sometimes do the inspection and go home.
This time, wasn't expecting a massive snowstorm with 35+" in some places! Mother Nature should give us a trial run with our first snow, before experiencing FEET of snow, and with clients in our car! Of course it started the morning they landed!
They originally said they wanted Castle Rock & Golden - no problem. Then they sent me their list, and was from Kiowa to Lyons (near Estes Park) and I said OH SH**! This was just a couple of days prior to their arrival, so couldn't pass it along to another agent at that point.
They had 19 properties to see over 4 days, and lots of miles in between. Three sellers canceled due to not being able to plow the roads. We were looking at 35- acre horse properties, so L O N G driveways. Didn't get stuck totally, but got close. The news said --- DON'T GO OUT UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Guess I had to.
Did see some very interesting things along the way that I thought maybe you might like -
This home was builder by an eclectic homeowner, and wanted special things throughout the home. There were "hidden refrigerator drawers" in bedrooms and two in the Primary room.
These photos were from a log home with 35 acres in Lyons with views of the plains. The photos don't do it justice. It was STUNNING.
There was a cute donkey named Rufus and the indoor arena was very cool. I am not the horse expert, and learned a lot these last few days.
The best was at the property they love --- two sinks on the vanity, and was so cute!
The pole in the left sink, and the fish in the right sink!
Showing homes sure can bring some smiles, and many times some new things!
