Dorie real estate is a great investment, especially if the right properties a purchased.

I bought my first home at age 23.  And, like you say, it offered appreciation, and tangible rewards.  That first home cost $11,250.  The last sale a couple of years ago, priced it at over $383,000.

What a great post Dorie Dillard Austin TX , just to give you an example, my parents bought a home in 1973 as interest rates were skyrocketing and my father worried that he would not be able to afford a home. Then he sold it at the bottom of the market around 1998. They lived happily for 25 years in their home and when in the bottom of the market they sold it for 2.5 times more than what they paid for it. Thanks for the long term reminder Dorie. So many residential buildings in Florida are getting hit with assessments and maintenance increases that can be daunting for many here.

Real estate has certainly been tried and true and proven over the years to be such a good investment!
