Spread Cheer to Children and Families in Need

Introduction

The holiday season is a time for joy, generosity, and giving back to the community. This year, the Old Colony YMCA in Brockton, MA, invites you to help bring smiles to the faces of children and families who are facing difficult times. With your support, the YMCA’s  Joyful Impact Program aims to create memorable moments that will last a lifetime.

How You Can Contribute

There are various ways you can make a meaningful contribution. Firstly, consider donating items that will brighten a child's holiday. New, unwrapped gifts like toys, books, and clothing are always appreciated. Teens also have specific needs, and gift cards can provide them the freedom to choose what they want.

Alternatively, think about sponsoring a family this season. Adopting a family lets you directly meet their needs and wishes through thoughtful gifts. Through this gesture, you can make a significant difference in their holiday experience.

Monetary donations are another option. Your financial contributions will be used to purchase gifts and meals, amplifying the overall impact of the holiday drive. Every dollar counts and helps extend the reach of the Joyful Impact Program.

Furthermore, consider hosting a "giving tree" at your workplace. This initiative invites colleagues and customers to join in the spirit of giving, making it easy for everyone to participate in the Joyful Impact Gift Drive.

Understanding the Impact

The Old Colony YMCA serves thousands of children and families throughout the year. Many families face homelessness, while others may lack a caring adult role model or a safe place to go after school. Through various programs and services, the YMCA supports these communities, emphasizing their mission of care and compassion.

Every year, the Joyful Impact Holiday Giving Program focuses on providing gifts, meals, and a sense of celebration. For families struggling financially, the holiday season can be particularly challenging. However, the generosity from community members like you helps alleviate that stress.

This year, over 800 children in the Old Colony Y's care will rely on your kindness. With your support, every child can feel the joy of the season. Just imagine their faces lighting up as they unwrap gifts meant just for them!

Take Action Now

Be a part of the Joyful Impact Program and consider supporting a child, teen, or family during this holiday season. Your contributions can create unforgettable memories and experiences. Visit Old Colony YMCA Holiday Giving https://oldcolonyymca.org/HolidayGiving to get started.

Let’s make this holiday season a time of joy and generosity for those who need it most. The joy you spread through your actions will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the lives of children and families in the community.

Lew, this is the time of year for giving.  Delivering pies early next week, and always make contributions to a couple of my favorite charities.

Good evening Lew,

A very timely post! There are a lot of families who are having trouble making ends meet this year, children in Foster care, children in Child Protective Centers....everyone needs to make sure these kiddos are taken care of first! I spent the day buying gifts and donated to Toys for Tots that our office is sponsoring, Child Protective Services for the John Lockhart Foundation and gifts for Austin Angels..It made me feel so good!

Lew Corcoran - 'Tis the season for giving'! There really is no excuse for children and pregnant mothers to go hungry. There seems to be an epidemic of starving, homeless people. How do you even begin to vet them? Giving to a credible organization makes perfect sense.

What the world leaders needs now is common sense.

Organizations such as you have outlined today are organizations where people may not know the scope of the important work they accomplish, Lew Corcoran Thank you for highlighting them. There is so, so much need and thankfully these organizations can fill some of that gap.
