We love the beach like many others do but not interested in living there due to the threat of hurricanes. Plan B, live in The Villages which is 60 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and 45 miles from the Gulf of Mexico as a crow flies. What we do when we need beach time is book an Airbnb in the off season and take a three-day break from our hectic Village life. There is another option Barefoot Beachcombers Club of The Villages. The Barefoot Beachcombers Club's (BBC) goal is to satisfy Villagers' ardent desire to visit the warm beaches in our state within 1-1/2 to 2-3/4 hours from home. A few times a year, we expand our excursions into overnight trips to more distant locales for a few extra days of sun and fun. At our members' request, we also offer optional local activities near each beach and escort you to favorite dining venues in the area. Our membership is currently close, but you can be added to our membership waitlist by completing the form on our Contact Us page. Thank you for your interest in our beach club.
