If Titus could read Joe's list would it help him understand/know what is truly in Joe's heart?
I am very familiar with the saying, and song, about count your blessings when you are feeling down, I have done it many times and I usually only get a short way down the list before I start feeling better BUT why not right those blessings down?
As mentioned, I rarely, if ever, get past about a half dozen blessings before my mood has changed from down in the dumps to feeling better.
Every November there is a challenge to Active Rain bloggers to come up with on thing each week that we are thankful for. Sometimes we struggle to come up with four. Sometimes we even dread coming up with a blessing that we can say three hundred words about. Goodness! When asked what we are thankful for we should blabber on until the person who asked gets tired of us and says "I got to go,see you latter". I came across this list of thirty things. I did not put it here to read, just to visualize the idea of making our own lists of thankfulness.
I intend to start my own list for next year by writing down at least one thing a day for three hundred and sixty five days. It should not be a challenge but I know it will be on certain days.
If I start my list today it will have something to do with today's trip to the dermatologist. I can say I'm thankful that she didn't gasp and say "let me make a call to the emergency room". BTW she did have a real concern but she did not gasp and say "Oh My" so that will be todays blessing for my list to be prepared for the next November challenge.
