Low inventory of homes requires an extra smart agent

The historic low inventory of homes is testing the skill and intelligence of many real estate agents. The question is; "Where can I find more homes for sale?" Here are a few places to look.

1. Expired listings.
These are homes that were listed but did not sell. Do not be afraid to go back a couple of years. Your trusted real estate agent should know how to do this. If not find a smarter agent.

2. Sheriff sale lists
From your county. Just google "Sheriff Sale In Your County". These are homes that are on their way to the sheriff sale. If you have a smart agent they can reach out to these home owners. Your trusted agent should know how to do this. If not find a smarter agent.

3. Send a hand written letter
Send it to a home you really like, Tell the home owner you love the home and want to buy it. Your trusted agent should know how to do this. If not find a smarter agent.

4. Take a look at the probate listings in your county.
Home owners who passed away and the executer is out of state may want to sell the home as quickly as possible. Look up the info, check out obituaries and send a handwritten note. Your trusted agent should know how to do this. If not find a smarter agent.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving. Now on to the winter season. I think the market is slowing. What are you seeing?
